Privacy Notice

Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

DAS PUBLIC SCHOOL (the "school") processes personal data of students, parents/guardians, applicants and staff only for education, safety, administration, fee management and legal compliance.

Children's data. Personal data of children is processed with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, recorded at admission. We do not use children's data for advertising, profiling or behavioural tracking.

What we collect. Identity and contact details, academic records, attendance, fee and payment records, and—only where voluntarily provided—blood group and medical or accessibility notes needed for the child's safety. Card numbers, CVVs and UPI PINs are never collected; online payments are processed by a regulated payment gateway.

Who can see it. Access is limited by role: teachers see only their classes; parents see only their own children; sensitive information (medical notes, salaries) is restricted further. All access to sensitive records and all exports are logged.

Retention. Records are kept while the student is enrolled and for 8 years after leaving (or longer where law requires, e.g. accounting records), after which personal identifiers are erased.

Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data, withdraw consent (where this does not prevent legally required processing), and nominate a representative. Contact the school office.

This notice is a template provided with the school management system; the school should review it with its legal adviser and update it to reflect the applicable rules and its Data Protection Officer / grievance contact.
